Pharmaceutical Synthesis of Paracetamol, Analgin, l-phenyl-3-Methyl-5-Pyrazolone (PMP), Caffeine, Theophyllin.
Dyes Used for manufacture of Azo, Diazo & Nitroso Compounds.
Lubricant Used in various lubricant as corrosion inhibitor.
Construction Chemicals Used in concrete admixture as corrosion inhibitor.
Rubber Blowing agent Used in manufacturing of cellular expanded rubber goods like foot wear, Micro cellular sheet.
Heat treatment/Heat transfer salts Various types of heat transfer salts.
Meat Processing Used as meat curing agent to give pink colour to meat.
Anti corossive agent Used in metal coatings, water treatment chemicals etc.

Storage :
Should be stored in dry place away from direct heat and light.

Handling :

Sodium Nitrite is oxidising as well as reducing agent. May cause skin or eye irritation. Harmful or fatal if swallowed. Use PVC hand gloves and safety equipments to avoid skin or eye contact. Over exposure may lead to dizziness, vomitting or unconsiousness. Symptoms of Nitrite poisoning may bause Haemoeathis unjuries or drop in bolld pressure. In case of spillage or fire flush affected area with plenty of water.

INCOMPATABILITY
With Ammonium salts, Sodium and Potassium Pyrosulphites.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID
In case of eye contact flush eyes with water for 15 minutes abd call a physician. If swallowed induce vomiting, give water to drink and call a physician. In case of inhalation, remove to fresh air. In case of breathing difficulty give sufficient oxygen.
