ADC R1 is a completely dispersible, free-flowing modification of the standard grade of azodicarbonamide which is the most efficient foaming agent for thermoplastic resins. R1 produces odorless, non-staining, low density foam of extremely fine and uniform cell structure.

Applications :

R1 is used in the operating temperature range of 200-2300C and down to 1700C when activators are present. The Particle Size of R1 is much smaller than M1, so that it needs less activators and the foams have finer and more uniform cell structure. Principal uses in the foaming of PE, PVC, PP, PS, EVA, ABS and rubbers basically where ease of dispersion and free-flowing properties are of primary importance. These include the expansion of polyvinyl chloride compositions, particularly in plastisol applications, natural and synthetic rubbers and thermoplastic elastomers. Typical applications are in the production of cellular leather cloth, floor coverings, wall coverings, carpet underlay, door-sealing strips and sealing compounds, injection molded shoe soles of thermoplastic rubber.

Packing :

25Kg bag lined with plastic bag.

Storage :

R1 has good storage stability and will remain in a good condition provided it is kept dry, cool and away from any sources of heat close to decomposition temperature (190 °C). R1 should also be kept away from strong alkali with which it reacts.
